I decided to take it easy and relax again lastnight. I know that I should have been getting some things done, but I just could not motivate myself to do anything. So instead, I chose to sit on my butt in front of the tv most of the night. Instead of stressing about all of the things I need to get done before we leave Saturday morning, I’m choosing to just ignore it. That means that I’ll be freaking out about this time on Thursday when I realize just how little time I have left.
About the only thing I’ve been thinking of in preparation for our trip is what music I need to have loaded up on my mp3 player to get me through the week. Obviously, this is the most important thing. Who needs clothes when you can listen to music? Of course I’ll have my trusty Pearl Jam, KT Tunstall, and some Jack Johnson, but I’m not sure what else. What music gets you in the mood for sun, sand, and Hawaiian beaches?

I’m not really a music buff so I don’t have any great recommendations for you. I CAN tell you, though, that you shouldn’t put anything involves steel drums or small, annoying guitars on your MP3 player because you will be getting PLENTY of that everytime you walk into a store or restaurant in Hawaii.
Some good heavy rock or punk might counteract that.
Music IS the most important thing!! One cannot be without tunes when traveling. 🙂 You need some fun beach music, like Jimmy Buffett or Stevie Wonder or the Beach Boys or something old school like that to go with your new school stuff.
Love the picture. And I have to say that I don’t think I’d NEED music to get me in the mood for Hawaii 🙂
Honestly? This is so dorky…Beach Boys. Nothing says surfing, sand, and sun like old school Beach Boys music.
Have fun in the warm since it is getting ready to drop ice and snow here!!! Think of me while you are basking in the heat and we are house bound in the freezing cold. No I am not jealous at all….. (;
