The Purple Roselette

Last weekend I finished off the second Roselette Top.  I love the bright colors in this one, along with the purple accents.  It is slightly bigger than the green one as I used one size larger crochet hook.  I’m hoping that Evie will be able to wear this one a little longer than the other one.  She’s growing so fast these days that clothing doesn’t last long before she’s outgrown it.

I ♥ Faces – Week 9 – Creative Crop

This week’s I ♥ Faces theme is “Creative Crop” and I thought this picture was perfect for The adult category. I snapped it of myself one day while we were outside letting Zach play in the snow. I don’t think I edited anything other than cropping it down a little. It has always been one of my favorites.  The bright white snow made for a perfect background.

Brrrrr!

For the kids category, I have this beautiful crop of Evie. It is one of my favorites from her first weeks at home and I actually ended up using it for her birth announcements.

Because I Don't Have Enough to Do

I’m sure it won’t be a big surprise to anyone who knows me, but I have a new blog (Hey, I saw those eyes rolling!). Yes, I know I can barely keep up with the ones I already have. It is a new blog, but really it is just an extension of this one. You see, I’m being a follower and starting up a review blog just like 97% of all the other bloggers out there.

I gave this a lot of thought and have actually had it in the back of my mind for a really long time. Recently I’ve had several opportunities to review and/or give away products that I’ve had to turn down because I didn’t have a place I felt comfortable posting it. I really didn’t want it to be a part of my main blog because I’m not really sure how long I’ll keep up with it plus there are some restrictions with the BlogHer ads that I have here.

The solution to that was to set up an entirely separate page to post reviews and giveaways. I hope to do reviews of things I’ve purchased myself and if I’m lucky I’ll get a few things to review for free. I also hope to be able to give away some fun stuff to my readers.

So, please go check out my first post and if you feel so inclined, enter the contest to win a Wonder Wash and Mini Spin Dryer.  Don’t forget to subscribe by RSS or E-mail while you’re there so you don’t miss out on any future contests!

And now, since you’ve read all the way to then end (or at least skimmed this far) you get rewarded with cute kid pictures!

Win a Wonder Wash and Mini Spin Dryer!

This contest has ended.

Do you like to camp?  Do you live in a small apartment with no washer/dryer?  Do you wash a lot of small loads of laundry?  Are you trying to find ways to save money or become a little more environmentally friendly?  If so, then this product if for you!

Wonder Wash

Introducing the Wonderwash from Laundry Alternatives – the space saving, time saving, energy saving Green Clean solution for your laundry needs! As seen on The Rachael Ray Show, through a patented pressure system, the Wonderwash thoroughly cleans a five pound load in just minutes using less water and detergent than even hand washing!

What can you wash with the Wonderwash? How about a week’s worth of dress shirts, 10 t-shirts, 30 pairs of socks, bibs, cloth diapers, burp clothes….the list goes on and on.

How does the Wonderwash work? When you put warm or hot water into the drum, fit the lid in place and seal the machine, the air inside the drum will absorb the heat of the water and expand (i.e., just like a hot air balloon). When the air expands it creates pressure inside the drum. The pressure forces the detergent (which is diluted into the water) into & through the fabric (which is porous) about 100 times faster than you could by hand or machine.

Tell Us How It Could Work for You – And Win a Wonderwash PLUS a Mini Countertop Spin Dryer, which quietly spins the water out of your clothes in just minutes.

What Evie Learned at Day Care Today

She’s not quite ready to let go yet, but this is the first time we’ve seen her walking at all without holding onto the furniture. It won’t be long now!
