I ♥ Faces – Week 29 – At The Beach

This week’s I ♥ Faces weekly challenge theme is “At the Beach”. Since we don’t live anywhere near the ocean, most of our beach outings are lakeside. On the few occasions that we have actually been to the beach on an ocean, I’ve been afraid of getting sand in my camera so I don’t have a lot of good shots. Since I don’t seen us visiting a beach anytime in the next two days, I’m digging up an old beach shot of Zach from our trip to Hawaii. He was about 18 months old in this shot. He had a blast playing on the beach, even if he wasn’t very interested in the water.

I ♥ Faces – Week 27 – Sports and Pets

I haven’t participated in an I ♥ Faces weekly challenge for a while so I’m jumping back in and hoping I can keep up with it a little better.  This weeks themes are “Sports in Action” and “Pets”.  For my sports photo I pulled up an old one of Zach and his Daddy playing football.  Even though it’s a little out of focus, I think the best part of this photo is the look on Daddy’s face as Zach tries to throw the ball.

For the Pets category, here’s a cute photo of my Chihuahua/Mini Fox Terrier mix. She keeps things lively around here!

I ♥ Faces – Week 17 – Hats

This week’s I ♥ Faces weekly challenge requires a hat in the photo. I swear sometimes these photos just happen at the right time. We were playing around the other night at home and Evie kept trying to put her brother’s pajama pants on her head (she loves to dig in the laundry baskets!) so I put them on her like a hat. She loved it! She kept laughing and every time they came off she wanted them back on. I grabbed the camera, snapped a few shots, and ended up with this one that I absolutely love. Even though it’s not a traditional “hat” I thought it was perfect for this week’s photo entry.

I ♥ Faces – Week 16 – Reflection

I’m getting my entry in at the last minute for this week’s I ♥ Faces weekly challenge. This week’s photo isn’t the best, but when I saw the week’s theme I decided I had to use it. Last weekend we went to the park and Zach loved looking at his reflection in this silly mirror.

I ♥ Faces – Week 13 – My Friend and I

I missed out on last week’s I ♥ Faces weekly challenge (even though I had an adorable pet photo I meant to post). This week’s theme is “My Friend and I” and I didn’t want to miss this one! My entry for the kids photo is of Zach and his cousin Ryan. They are best buds and Zach constantly begs me to go to Ry-Ry’s house to play. This was taken during at trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead, one of our favorite places to visit.

For the adult category, I have this photo of my husband and I at our friends’ wedding reception. It is one of my favorite photos of the two of us even though the lighting was pretty horrible.

I ♥ Faces – Week 11 – No Flash

“No Flash” is this week’s I ♥ Faces theme. This is something that I’ve been working on for a while now but I have a really difficult time getting enough light in my house to get a good shot with the flash off. I have a few favorites of my kids that I’ve taken outside but this one of my daughter is probably my very favorite. I was playing outside with my son on Thanksgiving when I spotted the perfect light and ran inside to get her and my camera.
